Our 2026 Northern Trip is a new departure: we are going to the West Country for the Autumn stags with the Devon & Somerset Staghounds. Also, we have sought to keep the cost down.
We will all be based at the famous Exmoor Inn, in Withypool which has generous stabling if you are bringing your horse – but we have also reserved a large number of hirelings.
A pub supper on Friday night will be followed by a day with hounds on Exmoor. Then the famous Goose & Dumpling dinner will be held at our hunting hostelry, recreating the event in the Surtees’ classic ‘Hawbuck Grange’.
The next day sees a service of Holy Communion before paying our respects at the grave of Parson Jack Russel in Swimbridge.
Tickets are, initially at least, being sold in pairs – in other words per double/twin room. If demand warrants it, we have an overflow option for singles, too – but just let us know.
