Our AGM and cream tea will be held at Buck’s Club on Clifford Street in Mayfair, on 6th July from 2.30pm – 4.30pm . The AGM afternoon will include a musical performance from the Mr Jorrocks opera written in the 1970’s, a rendition by John Bromley Davenport QC of his ancestor’s famous poem ‘Dream of an Old Meltonian’.
For collectors among you, a unique auction will take place: some of the beautiful and irreplaceable brass Block Dies found at Nunney Castle on the sad death of Helen, Lady Pickthorn.
These heavy and beautifully detailed artefacts encompass Jorrocks’ Jaunts and Jollities, Ask Mamma, Hillingdon Hall, Mr Sponge and even Kipling titles like Uncle Remus. As always, we will then finish with a sumptuous cream tea.
