Northern Trip 2023 Gallery
The 2017 Northern Trip was in Northumberland, on 24th, 25th and 26th February, where we stayed at Chillingham Castle by kind permission of Sir Humphry Wakefield. We hunted with the Percy and had the Goose & Dumpling Dinner where Edward “Hammer of the Scots” and his men gathered their strength before the battle of Falkirk, when the robber William Wallace was captured. More recently Cate Blanchett filmed ‘Elizabeth’ at Chillingham and the famous, ancient white cattle still roam there.
