Northern Trip 2023 Gallery
The Members lucky enough to get names down first were afforded a rare treat by antiquarian book collector, author and Life Member Colin Franklin on 20th April. The Society was welcomed into his home for a very fine lunch followed by a reprise of Colin’s speech to the Bodleian. Then members spent a magical hour in his great barn, where the original watercolours Leech painted (and from which our prints were taken via woodcuts that were themselves on show), the Duke of Gloucester’s editions and much more were shown for the first time. A very happy lunch, and a rare treat.
